What M1 is

What does M1 actually do?

M1 is a control centre where AI agents run your marketing loop — Plan → Create → Publish → Measure → Refine — for every brand you manage. Agents draft the strategy, the copy, and the schedule; you approve anything that publishes or spends. Think of it as hiring a marketing team that never ships without your sign-off.

Who is M1 for?

Founders and small teams running marketing for one or more brands who want leverage without losing control. If you're the person who'd otherwise write every post, brief every campaign, and watch every euro of spend — M1 does the drafting and you keep the decisions.

How is this different from a scheduling tool like Buffer or Hootsuite?

Schedulers move content you already wrote. M1's agents plan the campaign, write channel-native drafts with your brand voice, run a compliance check, and only then queue for your approval — publishing is the last step of a governed loop, not the product.

Gates & control

Can the AI post something without me approving it?

No — and not just as a policy. Publish, compliance, and spend approvals are enforced as database rules, so even a bug in the app couldn't skip them. A piece of content physically cannot reach 'published' without an approved sign-off recorded first.

What is the compliance gate?

Before anything can be approved for publish, a compliance agent reviews the draft against advertising standards (unsubstantiated claims, forbidden phrases, brand rules). Clean drafts pass automatically; flagged ones wait for a human decision. Both the publish approval and the compliance approval must exist before publishing.

What does 'dry-run' mean?

Every channel starts in dry-run: the full loop runs — planning, drafting, gating, even 'publishing' — but nothing leaves the building. You flip a channel live deliberately, per brand, per channel, when you're ready. Live is a decision, never a default.

How does budget control work?

Ad spend has its own gate. An agent can propose a budget with reasoning, and a CFO-style agent reviews the ask against your goals — but recording actual spend requires an approved budget, enforced at the database level, and you hold that approval.

Channels & publishing

Which channels does M1 support?

Email (via Brevo), SEO/blog content (via your CMS, e.g. WordPress), and social — LinkedIn, X, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest, Threads, and YouTube. Each channel drafts content native to its format and limits.

How does M1 actually post to social networks?

Through a pluggable delivery layer. You connect your social accounts once through a managed provider (a few clicks, no developer accounts needed), and M1 routes approved posts through it. Different channels can even use different providers.

How do I activate a channel like Instagram and take it live?

On the Channels page (sidebar → Channels), every channel is a card with three steps: 1) Enable — the agents start drafting for it, dry-run only; 2) Connect — tell it which account to post to (e.g. your IG business @handle, plus a provider like Zernio or Postiz for social); 3) Go live — a deliberate flip on the card, only possible once an account is connected. You can switch back to dry-run at any time, and every post still passes your approval gate.

Do posts go out through my accounts or M1's?

Yours, if you want. In Settings → Delivery providers you can add your own provider API key (Zernio, Postiz or Ayrshare) and every brand in your workspace posts through your account — you can also set a different key per channel on the Channels page. Without your own key, channels use M1's managed delivery default.

What happens if a channel isn't connected yet?

Nothing is ever silently dropped. If content is approved but the channel can't post automatically, it lands in a manual queue with the finished copy ready to paste — you post it by hand and mark it done.

Can I write or edit the content myself?

Yes. Every draft is editable before approval, and your edits become a learning signal — the agents see what you changed and factor it into the next round. You can also re-use any past asset from the Library as a new draft.

Brands, voice & skills

How does M1 keep my brand voice consistent?

Each brand has a voice profile, and the writing agents load it — plus versioned 'skills' for copywriting and per-channel playbooks — every time they draft. Change the voice profile or a skill, and every future draft changes with it.

Can I run multiple brands?

That's the point. Brands are configuration, not a rebuild — each has its own channels, voice, campaigns, and approvals, all fully isolated. The Free plan includes 1 brand; paid plans raise the limit.

Can I invite my team?

Yes — invite teammates by email from Settings. They join your workspace automatically on their next sign-in and see the same brands and approval queues you do.

Plans & billing

What does M1 cost?

Free gets you 1 brand and 5 campaigns a month — the full loop, gates and all. Pro (10 brands, 200 campaigns/month) and Scale (100 brands, 2,000 campaigns/month) are monthly subscriptions managed through Stripe. Upgrade or cancel any time from Settings.

Is there a free trial?

The Free plan isn't a trial — it's a real plan with the full engine, gates included. Run a brand on it as long as you like and upgrade when you need more brands or volume.

Data & privacy

Who can see my brand data?

Only your workspace. Every brand, campaign, and draft is isolated per workspace with database-level row security — verified by tests, not just policy. M1 staff don't browse customer content.

What AI is under the hood, and what does it see?

Anthropic's Claude models power the agents. They see your brand profile, briefs, and drafts to do their work — your data is not used to train models.

Can I delete everything?

Yes. Settings → Delete workspace permanently removes your workspace and everything in it — brands, campaigns, content, metrics. It's owner-only and asks you to type the workspace name to confirm.
